Greenside, Chapeltown.
The year is about 1900 and the photographer has set up his equipment in Greenside on the lower part of Burncross Road. And as usual this has attracted a large crowd of children, almost all the boys wearing a cap and almost all the girls a woolly beret. The shop on the left was owned by Edward Milns who ran a drapery at the front and a grocery store at the back. It is now a fish and chip shop.
