Newton Chambers supported a wide variety of sporting and recreational activities. Posing here is Thorncliffe Recreational Association Football Club at the end of the 1953/54 season. And as the cup on display suggests, the team had had a very successful season – Sheffield Works Sports Association Drake League Champions.
