Lea Bank House, Burncross Road, Comforts for the Troops 1914 - 1918

The Money raised at galas, concerts and other events was used to buy 'comforts' for the men in the armed forces.  Here the helpers stand with the boxes ready to be sent off.  The photo was taken in front of 'Lea Bank', Burncross Road, the home of Mr & Mrs Wood.
