John Gibson of Ivy House Chapeltown
John Gibson born in 1827 and married Ann Chambers in 1852. They lived in Ivy house and he and his brother Thomas ran the shops (originally the Truck Shops) at the junction of Station Road and Cowley Road. John Gibson was a chemist and a chemist still occupies the site.
