St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Mortomley Lane.
St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Mortomley Lane. This church was formerly called The Roman Catholic Church of our Lady (Refuge for Sinners). The original building was built in 1886, principally at the cost of the 15th Duke of Norfolk. The church caught fire on 16 December 1914 and was rebuilt in 1915 and renamed St Mary’s.
