Chapeltown Park Entrance, 1920's.
Entrance to Chapeltown Park, 1920s The entrance was on the site of the old village pinfold. The park was given to the public by Mrs A.M. Drew of Staindrop Lodge. It was opened in June 1920.The entrance, as now, crosses the Blackburn Brook and the path can be seen rising up to the War Memorial.
