High Green Primary School 1953. 2.
Pupils at High Green Infants presented their version of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 to a large crowd of parents and friends. The boys opened the ceremony dressed as soldiers, complete with drummers. The procession included Glenn Rooker as the Archbishop of Canterbury, Alan Pickering as the Lord Chamberlain, Michael Lofts as the Duke of Edinburgh and Kathryn Ellis as Queen Elizabeth.
