High Green House.

High Green House has been the home of a long succession of notable local residents, including the coroner and hymn writer John Foster, who lived here from 1782 until 1822: George Chambers of Newton Chambers, who is said to have rebuilt it in 1862; and Mr Harrison, the first head-teacher of Ecclesfield Grammar School.
