The Crossfield Tavern on Mortomley Lane c. 1970. In a Trade Directory of 1845 this building is mentioned as a beer house run by William Parkin. By 1849 it was called the Crossfield Tavern. In the 1850s Mrs Parkin was the licensee and in the 1860s and 1870s Joseph Windle was the landlord. This building is currently undergoing restoration and conversion into a house.
