Interior of St Saviour's Church, Mortomley.
The church was built in 1872 as a memorial to Parkin Jeffcock, mining engineer, who died whilst trying to rescue miners trapped in the Oaks Colliery at Barnsley, after an explosion on 12 December 1866. He died in a second explosion on 13 December.
