Funeral at Lane End.
This funeral procession with marching band and hundreds of mourners was found in the archives of the funeral directors, John Heath & Sons. But they had no records of whose funeral it was or where the photograph was taken. It is taken at Lane End. It is the funeral of Thomas Vivian Miles of Lane End House who died in 1929. He was manager of Thorncliffe Ironworks and is buried in the graveyard of St John’s church.
