The Cinema House & Arundel PH, Ecclesfield.
The Cinema House was built in 1920 and was closed and demolished in the 1970s. The main entrance is flanked by two shops, one of which was a sweet shop handily located so that cinema-goers could buy their chocolates and toffees and crinkle their wrappings during the performance! The Arundel is so-named after a minor title of the Duke of Norfolk, a major local landowner.
