The Sportsman Inn, Ecclesfield.
The first reference to this public house, which stood on High Street in Ecclesfield, was in 1833. The landlord at that time was William Foster, who like many in that occupation in the past had dual occupations. He was a victualler and a file manufacturer. Ecclesfield Library was built on the site.
