Ecclesfield District Motor Bus Company, Chapeltown to Firth Park service
This very early motor bus belonging to the Ecclesfield District Motor Bus Company was a vital cog in the early motorised public transport service. As the board on the window points out, the route followed by the bus linked Chapeltown and Ecclesfield with the electric tram terminus at Firth Park. This terminus was opened at the bottom of Bellhouse Road in 1909 and gave direct access to the centre of Sheffield via Fir Vale.
