Fireplace made by W. Green & Co, Ecclesfield.
William Green took over the Green family foundry on the site of the present Morrison’s superstore in 1862 and named it the Norfolk Foundry. Green’s manufactured all kinds of stove grates and kitchen ranges. During both world wars Green’s supplied catering equipment to all three of the armed forces. The photograph shows a kitchen range in the manager’s house at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, Sheffield.
