Lane End House Entrance 1960's.
Lane End House entrance, 1960s. For many decades Lane End House was the home of George Dawson, manager of the ironworks at Newton Chambers. In the mid-20th century this building was used as a Children’s Home. The railings could well be the work of Thorncliffe moulders.
