Lane End Alms Houses.
A photograph of Lane End Almshouses taken in the early 20th century. These almshouses were situated across the road from Lane End House and are now demolished. They were founded by Edward Sylvester in the early 18th century with ‘seven rooms for seven poor men or women of the Parish of Ecclesfield’. The site is now occupied by part of Copley House.
