Greenhead Almshouses, 1960s. These six almshouses were built at the bequest of Mrs Freeman of Housley Hall. In her will of 1837 she instructed that her heir, Rt. Hon. James Stuart Wortley, erect the dwellings with a large reading room or chapel in the centre. The building is currently used as offices.
