Hall Wood Road, 'Wenalt',
‘Wenalt’, Hall Wood Road. This image is copied from an original oil painting by Harvey Womersley (1896-1969), the joint architect of the house with his cousin, Wilfred Womersley (1899-1988). The house was built in 1932 and was the home of Wilfred, his wife, Mary, Harvey and his younger brother and sister, Jack Hughes Womersley and Megan Topp (née Womersley). It is still recognisable but has been considerably altered.
