The New Inn, Bracken Hill.
This view of the New Inn and adjoining cottages is from the early 1900s. The New Inn was established in about 1863, but did not last long and closed in 1913. Mr and Mrs Arthur Marsden, landlord and landlady, can be seen standing at the pub doorway with their son, Charlie. Mr Bell and Mr Burtoft of Charlton Brook are by the wall.
