Warren School class photo, 1920s.
Reflecting the hard economic times, this photograph shows a class at Warren School in the 1920s. Warren School now demolished, stood on White Lane opposite the Norfolk Arms, and on the site now stands a residential nursing home. The school was built in 1900 to accommodate 268 junior children and 100 infants, at a cost of £5,825.
