Cruck Barn at Cowley Manor.
Captured on camera shortly before its demolition is this ancient cruck barn in the grounds of Cowley Manor. The frames of cruck barns were made up of a number of naturally curved timbers, usually oak, that were sawn lengthways to make matching pairs of cruck blades. This cruck barn is said to have been used as the first nonconformist place of worship in Chapeltown.
