George Edward Cooke (right) of High Green.
George Edward Cooke of High Green, seated on the right. The young boy is thought to be William Merritt. George died at the age of 72 in 1915. He was a member of the local branch of the Miners’ Association for 46 years and lived in High Green for most of his life.
