Redvers Warburton of Chapeltown.
Looking very smart in his sailor suit is Redvers Warburton in 1910. As a young boy he was taken to the christening of Peter, Viscount Milton, the future 8th Earl Fitzwilliam in February, 1911. He recalled the vast crowds at the event and the fact that he had a hot beef sandwich cut from the beef roasting on a spit – and which he said was burnt! He later joined the merchant navy. He lived until he was more than 90.
