Hospital Parade prize-winning float.
Ready for off is this float from 1909 that had been awarded a special prize. Floats had to be ready for the third Saturday after Whitsuntide. They set off from Ecclesfield Common and went through Grenoside and Wadsley Bridge and past the Royal Infirmary into central Sheffield. The parade then made its way back to Ecclesfield via the Wicker and Firth Park. On Sunday it went off again to Chapeltown, Burncross and High Green and ended up at Chapeltown Feast.
